The Story:

This is the earliest known American edition of Janeway’s Token which also contains the supplement, Token for the Children of New England, by American divine Cotton Mather. Each story within follows a standard format: a child’s conversion to Christ, his or her descent into fatal illness, and a deathbed declaration. The supplement includes Mather’s biography of his own younger brother Nathaniel, a promising scholar who died at age nineteen.
