Tea from the Boston Tea Party - TEA THROWN INTO BOSTON HARBOR DEC 17, 1773. The Boston Tea Party was an iconic event on the path to the Revolution. Visitors to the Society to view the collections of the cabinet have seen this reminder of one of the critical confrontations of the 1770s, a vial of tea said to have been carried by the tide to the beaches of Dorchester Neck and gathered by the donor as a five-year-old boy.
