The Story:

McLoughlin Bros. was the leader in the development of color printing technology in post-Civil War America. This comic title features caricatures of foolish girls with accompanying limericks. Adomeit gave the Society more than one hundred titles published by McLoughlin Bros. Her donation strengthened the Society’s holdings of titles by the firm, many of which had earlier come from Herbert Hosmer.
