The Story:

This General Circular, subtitled “Manual of the Oregon Expedition,”outlined plans to recruit settlers for a transcontinental journey and sell $200,000 worth of stock in the enterprise. Donald McKay Frost gave the Society both the circular and an unused booklet of twenty-five land certificates.
