The Story:

Illustrating Charles Henry Taylor’s interest in the business side of the lithographic process, this sample book contains examples of printed job work done by Ferdinand Mayer & Co., which was based in New York from 1858 through the 1870s. Included are nearly 400 examples of lithographed or chromolithographed labels, blank checks, billheads and trade cards.
