Graphic arts storage, Stack D - When the state-of-the-art Stack D addition was opened in 2000, a section of the new building was devoted to the storage of graphic arts collections. These materials were rehoused in an expanded space in units designed for their preservation and ease of retrieval. A growing number of fellows and other readers are drawn to subjects in American visual culture. Elsewhere in the new facility, compact shelving was introduced for the collections of books and other printed materials.
