Goodrich, Christopher Columbus Baldwin, 1835 -Baldwin, who frequently mentioned artists in his diary, did not name Sarah Goodridge, the artist, also from Templeton, Massachusetts, who painted his miniature portrait. This was the “exact miniature” used by Chester Harding as a reference for the full-sized canvas portrait, a posthumous commission by the Council of the American Antiquarian Society completed in September 1836.
