                THERE fell from <name type ="mythological">God's</name> favor two exiles of <placeName>Eden</placeName>,<lb/>
                They wander'd through deserts of sorrow &amp; pain,<lb/>
                Were banish'd from <name type ="symbolic">Paradise</name> the place of their freedom,<lb/>
                And we their posterity are apt to complain.<lb/>
                Oh never again in the green shady bowers,<lb/>
                Where our first parents dwelt, shall we spend the sweet<lb/>
                hours,<lb/>
                Nor taste of the fruits, nor regale on the flowers,<lb/>
                Nor found to the numbers of <placeName>Eden</placeName> again.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                Oh hard is our fate, said the heart broken strangers,<lb/>
                The brutal creation's more happy than we,<lb/>
                Surrounded with troubles, temptations and dangers,<lb/>
                If <name type ="mythological">God</name> had been just, would such evils then be?<lb/>
                Hush all these complaints, let us mend our behavior,<lb/>
                We shall not go mourning as Exiles forever,<lb/>
                If we but repent and believe in a <name type ="symbolic">Saviour</name>,<lb/>
                Who died to redeem us and lives to restore:<lb/></p>

            <p>
                His character is lovely, it shines forth in splendor,<lb/>
                He invites our attention to joys most sublime,<lb/>
                He's mov'd with compassion, his heart is most tender,<lb/>
                His blood has aton'd for the world of mankind,<lb/>
                Come all ye despondents with hearts now relenting,<lb/>
                Convicted, condemned, with hearts now repenting,<lb/>
                Come just as you are, with souls all consenting,<lb/>
                Accept of salvation in <name type ="religious">JESUS's</name> name.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                He offers you pardon, he waits to embrace you,<lb/>
                There's pleasure forever, come follow the <name type ="symbolic">Lamb</name>,<lb/>
                Religion's a calling that will not disgrace you,<lb/>
                'Tis honor from heaven aspiring to fame,<lb/>
                Come ye ambitious who rise by gradation,<lb/>
                Salvation's the glory of every nation,<lb/>

            <p>
                Come all ye vain tiplers who often get heady,<lb/>
                Who sup at the tavern and lodge in the street,<lb/>
                You reel on a precipice, you ought to be steady,<lb/>
                Or soon you will tumble and fall in the deep,<lb/>
                Where liquids are plenty, and you'll not be craving,<lb/>
                Where fiends are tormenting, the damned are raging,<lb/>
                Where billows of justice in vengeance are rolling,<lb/>
                O'erwhelming forever in torment your souls.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                Come all ye vain youths who are doating in pleasure,<lb/>
                Who revel in ball rooms and gamble by night,<lb/>
                Yet strangers to happiness, neglectors of duty,<lb/>
                In <name type ="religious">JESUS</name> I find a superior delight.<lb/>
                His voice is sweet music, his person endearing,<lb/>
                To my spirits the wine of his kingdom is cheering,<lb/>

                My <name type ="symbolic">Savior</name>, my helper, my partner, my life.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                Come all ye poor misers, though rich in your coffers,<lb/>
                I doubt much if ever you liberal will be,<lb/>
                Unless you repent and take <name type ="religious">Christ</name> at his offer.<lb/>
                Your treasures lay useless, 'till death turns the key,<lb/>
                You've ground down the poor to accumulate riches,<lb/>
                Such impious conduct your character impeaches,<lb/>
                The root of all evil your spirit bewitches,<lb/>
                To make life pernicious and live in contempt.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                Come all ye bold <name type ="religious">Deists</name>, who boast of your reason,<lb/>
                Who will not believe what you can't comprehend,<lb/>
                Come meet your opponents, lets argue a season,<lb/>
                And see how the conflict will turn in the end;<lb/>
                You've erected a <placeName>Babel</placeName>, come now and defend it,<lb/>
                Comprehend your existence or else don't pretend it,<lb/>
                Here rises a mountain and you can't ascend it,<lb/>
                You're swamp'd in a valley and lost in despair.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                Come all ye bold <name type ="religious">Atheists</name> who glory in error,<lb/>
                Deny the true <name type ="mythological">GOD</name> and pay homage to chance,<lb/>
                Be struck with conviction and tremble with horror,<lb/>
                As you unto ruin so swiftly advance,<lb/>
                By chance there's a <name type ="mythological">God</name>, and by chance there's a <name type ="symbolic">Savior</name>,<lb/>
                By chance there's a hell, you may feel it forever,<lb/>
                By chance there's a heaven for each true believer,<lb/>
                By chance there are <name type ="religious">Angels</name> and <name type ="mythological">Cherubs</name> above.<lb/></p>

            <p>
                The church of the first born to bliss have attained.<lb/>
                Though once they were exiles who wander'd in time,<lb/>
                Eternity's before them, the myst'ries explained,<lb/>
                The glory of Heaven's unfolding in prime.<lb/>
                Again they're restor'd to the most pleasing bowers,<lb/>
                In the presence of <name type ="mythological">God</name> now they spend the sweet hours,<lb/>
                Their souls are enraptur'd with heavenly powers,<lb/>
                To sing the sweet anthems of <placeName>Eden</placeName> regain'd.<lb/></p>
